World Labs introduces Atlas, a research-preview world model

World Labs published Atlas on 1 September 2026 as an omni world model for spatial intelligence, opening early access with select partners rather than a public live deployment.

What happened. On 1 September 2026 World Labs announced Atlas, describing it as a next-generation world model pretrained from scratch to operate on text, images, video and 3D inside a shared spatial context. The post outlines camera-controlled generation, sparse-view reconstruction with optional explicit 3D outputs, space-time simulation for reframing and Real-to-Sim robotics work, and image or 360 panorama generation. Early access is offered to select partners who request it; there is no public always-on demo listed as a verified deployment on this site.

Why it matters. World models sit next to the clip-based live channels we already track: instead of stitching short generated segments, they aim to keep a controllable spatial world. Atlas is recorded here as a research release so readers can follow the claim without mistaking a blog announcement for a live product. World Labs' note that Atlas will power a future version of Marble is kept as a forward-looking statement, not evidence that Marble currently runs on Atlas.

Which platforms it affects. None of our published platform listings currently cite Atlas as their generation model. The model brief is therefore published but kept out of the sitemap and search indexing until a real deployment can be sourced. Coverage percentages from third-party raters are not copied into our facts.

“Today we are introducing Atlas, our next-generation world model. Atlas is an omni model”

Official blog post dated 1 Sep 2026. Describes Atlas as an omni world model for spatial intelligence, lists generation/reconstruction/simulation capabilities, states early access with select partners, and says Atlas will power future versions of Marble. Open weights are not offered, so is_open_source is recorded as no. Third-party rater percentages shown on the page are not copied into our facts. No public consumer deployment is claimed.
