Odyssey's playable world-model research preview lets up to 20 people or agents interact in one generated world.

What Diiverge is
Diiverge is a browser adventure built around shared volumes — explorable worlds that start from a single picture and grow as visitors click through them. On an existing path, touching a hotspot and picking an outcome moves you to a new node with a new image; those carved routes stay available for the next visitor. The Crystal Pass is the current volume, with earlier volumes still linked from the shelf.
Access is split. Walking any already-carved path is free and needs no account. Generating a brand-new place costs roughly half a dollar per scene, funded by the project's sponsor ledger, so growth is paid while exploration of existing ground is not. The model that renders new scenes is not named on the site; a fal.ai sponsorship banner is a funding credit, not a model attribution, and we do not invent one.
We verified the public site returns HTTP 200 and that clicking a hotspot on an existing Crystal Pass path changes the node and image (including a move into Arrival Beneath the Viaduct). We did not pay to carve a new scene, so new-place generation is only partly verified. Diiverge is an on-demand interactive world, not a continuous broadcast, which is why it carries no LIVE detector and no red LIVE badge.
How the experience flows
- Open the volumes shelf and step into a volume such as The Crystal Pass; the current scene loads as a still image with clickable hotspots.
- Click something in the frame and choose what should happen next; on an already-carved branch the world advances to that node and image without a fee.
- If you pick a direction that has not been carved yet, generating the new scene costs about $0.50 and adds lasting ground to the volume for everyone after you.
- Paths you and others carve remain in the shared volume, so later visitors can walk the same forks for free.

Site probe at 2026-10-14T22:04:07.139Z: HTTP 200 (online). Recorded as on demand — Interactive on-demand world with no public live stream endpoint. Site reachability is probed; stream_status is recorded as on_demand by editorial verification, never as LIVE.
We have not verified a live broadcast.
Website reachability and broadcast status are recorded separately; an HTTP 200 never counts as live. Expired checks degrade to Stale, detector failures to Unverified. Methodology.
Why we track it
Diiverge shows a public, persistent fork-and-walk loop for generative worlds: free exploration of shared ground, paid carving of new scenes, and no pretence of a live broadcast. It is an early consumer example of an interactive world that keeps its paths.

Charlie Clark published Diiverge, a shared browser world where clicking a hotspot forks the scene and carved paths stay for later visitors. Walking existing ground is free; carving new scenes is paid.

“Explorable worlds grown from a single picture. Touch anything in the frame, pick what happens to it”
Volumes shelf establishes the product name, the interactive-world format, and the @charliie credit in the footer. HTTP 200 observed. Scene counters on the shelf are dynamic and are not recorded as facts.

Observed 2026-09-03 ~22:50–22:55 UTC. Clicking a hotspot on an existing Crystal Pass path advanced the node and image to Arrival Beneath the Viaduct (/a/node_a06f895171c08c34f7) without payment, so interaction is recorded as multiple choice and continuity as a stateful world. Walking loaded without a login. New-place generation was not purchased, so paid carving is only partly verified via the sponsors page. No age gate observed; age restriction stays unknown. Maturity recorded as experiment from the solo launch framing.

“Walking carved paths is free, forever. Carving new ground (an image, ten seconds of film, a map) costs about 50 cents a scene”
Official sponsors page states the freemium split: free walking of carved paths, paid carving at about $0.50 per scene. Dynamic scene tallies are not frozen into our facts.
